The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus is a nomadic troupe that breathes life into the traditions of American Popular Entertainment. We have taken traditions from the circus, the sideshow, vaudeville, and the burlesque, and blended them together to create more than just a spectacle. The Bindlestiff's instill desires in people. We awaken passion. We make people want to run away and join the circus. We help people see the possibilities of starting their own circus. We not only show a person the power that only a clown embodies, we help the person transform himself/herself into the Pierrot, the tramp, or the Auguste. White face and a red nose will change a person's life. The new face frees a person from their banal existence and places them into a space outside of the televaliumed hum-drum of modern existence. The clown doesn't need a tv, the clown doesn't need a credit card. Life for the clown is FREE. A clown can do what they want, SHe can go where SHe wants. The clown can tell the king to @#*$%# off.
